UNOFFICIAL FIRMWARENOT FROM ELEKTRON · COMMUNITY BUILDS
Community developers are writing their own firmware for the Model:Cycles. This is everything we’ve found, checked every day. FW Radar doesn’t host these files and doesn’t send alerts for their versions: each link opens the developer’s page.
Elektron doesn’t support these modifications.

Modded Cycles

A browser flasher that patches your own Model:Cycles OS 1.13 with the mods you tick: 6-channel USB audio, five Syntakt machines read from your Syntakt OS file, the Model-TG sampler, an arpeggiator, tempo up to 546 BPM and more. It can also turn the unit into a Model:Samples.
At your own risk, may void the warranty. Back up projects and samples first. A unit that won't start is recovered over MIDI IN, so you need a USB-MIDI interface.
Adds a seventh Sampler machine to Model:Cycles OS 1.13 (one-shot, loop, slice, granular, stretch, pluck and wavetable modes), resampling, a beat-repeat page with 12 master FX, slide trigs and Scale Lock. Built in the browser from your own OS file.
Unofficial, install at your own risk: back up first.
Small patches for Model:Cycles and Model:Samples OS 1.13, applied with a script or a web flasher: latching track mute, trig preview, scrolling names and 16-channel USB audio (the six tracks in stereo plus the delay and reverb returns).
Modifying the firmware voids the warranty and could brick the device. Make sure you can reach the startup menu (the way back) and back up your projects first.
A patch for OS 1.13 that sends each of the six tracks on its own USB audio channel (mono stems, 48 kHz) instead of the stereo mix, for the Model:Cycles and the Model:Samples. The 6-channel mods in Modded Cycles and Model Tweaks build on it.
The Model:Cycles build has never been flashed to a real Model:Cycles. Recovery needs a MIDI DIN interface; USB OS upgrade stops working while it is installed.
READ THIS FIRSTAt your own risk, and it may void your warranty. Read the developer’s install notes, back up your presets, and make sure you know how to go back: official 1.13 and how to install it →

We check Elektron's official download page for the Elektron Model:Cycles every day. One message per release. No spam, no newsletter.
It’s written by independent developers, not by Elektron. Some projects are stable, others are early betas: read each developer’s notes before you flash.
Can I go back to the official firmware?
Yes: load the official 1.13 with Elektron Transfer, as described in the official update guide.
Does FW Radar track custom firmware versions?
We note the latest version each developer has published when we check the list, every day, but we don’t send alerts for it: alerts are only for official Elektron firmware.
