Service description

FW//RADAR is a free firmware tracking service for electronic music gear. We monitor manufacturer websites for firmware updates and provide a dashboard to track your devices. Optional notification channels (Telegram and Email) are available for users who opt in.

Account

• You must sign in with a valid Google account
• One account per person
• You are responsible for your account activity
• Maximum 200 devices per account

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from FW//RADAR
• Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal browser usage
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Redistribute our firmware tracking data commercially
• Submit false or misleading product reports

Public rig content

If you opt in to publish your rig, you additionally agree that the content you choose to display (alias, display name, emoji, blurb, and any photos) must not:

• Be offensive, discriminatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or hateful
• Impersonate another person, artist, brand, or organization you are not
• Infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Contain spam, advertising, external links, phone numbers, or contact addresses
• Include personal data of third parties without their consent

Any FW//RADAR user can report a public rig via the Report this rig link at the bottom of a public page. Reports are reviewed manually. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, revoke public visibility, reset your alias, suspend the account, or delete content that violates these terms or the Privacy Policy.

Photos

Photos are optional. By uploading a photo to your public rig you represent and warrant that:

• You either took the photo yourself, or have explicit permission to publish it on FW//RADAR.
• Any identifiable person in the photo has consented to having their image published on a public profile.
• The photo does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right of a third party.
• The photo is not sexually explicit, hateful, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited under "Public rig content" above.
• The photo is genuinely about your rig — i.e. depicts gear you own, your studio space, or related context. Photos used purely for promotion, advertising, or unrelated content are not allowed.

You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading them you grant FW//RADAR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host the resized derivatives (1600 px WebP and 400 × 400 thumbnail) on our servers and serve them through our CDN, for the sole purpose of displaying them on your public rig page and the homepage / browse list previews. This license terminates the moment you delete the photo or your account.

Reporting and moderation. Any signed-in user can report a photo via the Report button in the lightbox on a public rig page. The photo is auto-hidden pending admin review. After review one of three outcomes applies: restored (false report — the photo becomes visible again), confirmed (the photo stays hidden and you are notified in /my-reports with the reason), or permanent deletion (for serious violations the file is unlinked from the server). If a report is not reviewed within 7 days the photo is automatically restored as a failsafe.

To prevent abuse of the reporting flow, individual users are rate-limited to 10 reports per day, and you cannot report the same photo more than once. Repeat false reporters may be suspended.

Data accuracy

Firmware version data is collected automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate. We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. Always verify firmware versions on manufacturer websites before updating your devices.

Intellectual property

All product names, brand names, logos, and firmware are the property of their respective owners. FW//RADAR is an independent project; references to these names, logos, and brands are used for identification purposes only and do not imply any affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by the manufacturers.

FW//RADAR does not host, distribute, or modify firmware files or manuals. All firmware and manual links point to the manufacturer's official support pages; clicking a download link takes you directly to the manufacturer's own server.

Price data

Used market prices are sourced from Reverb.com and are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy.

Notifications

Notification channels (Telegram and Email) are optional and strictly opt-in. By enabling a channel you authorise us to send you transactional service messages about your rig (firmware updates, the outcome of product requests you submit). We never send marketing, newsletters, or unsolicited content. You can disable any channel at any time from your profile on fwradar.com or by using the one-click unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Service availability

FW//RADAR is provided "as is" without warranty. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time.
