UNOFFICIAL FIRMWARENOT FROM M-VAVE · COMMUNITY BUILDS
Community developers are writing their own custom firmware, also called alternative firmware, for the SMK-37 PRO. This is a selection, not every fork or experiment: we list the projects with a working build and a real following, and check them every day. FW Radar doesn’t host these files and doesn’t send alerts for their versions: each link opens the developer’s page.

An overtone synth built around four corners, each with two overtone generators: a moving moon decides how much of each corner you hear, the pads and knobs shape the corners and the faders steer the path. 32 factory sounds, 16 user slots, chords, arpeggiator and scales.
Unofficial, not endorsed by M-Vave. Back up the keyboard's flash first. Installing clears another firmware's data; M-Vave's updater brings stock back. Rescue: OCT- at power on.
A sampled concert grand: velocity layers, dampers and their noise, sustain, sostenuto and una corda, string resonance and four rooms, with twelve user presets on the pads. Keys and pedals also go out over USB MIDI.
Experimental. Unofficial, not endorsed by M-Vave. Back up the keyboard's flash first. Installing clears another firmware's data; M-Vave's updater brings stock back.
A microtonal drone synth: eight drone voices, one per screen column, 96 presets in six themes and 16 places for your own. The lowest keys move everything to a new key, and the keys play choir, bowed or glass sounds on top.
Unofficial, not endorsed by M-Vave. Back up the keyboard's flash first. Installing clears another firmware's data; M-Vave's updater brings stock back. Rescue: OCT- at power on.
READ THIS FIRSTAt your own risk, and it may void your warranty. Read the developer’s install notes, back up your presets, and make sure you know how to go back: official 016 and how to install it →
Running one of these?Mark it in your rig: the SMK-37 PRO won’t show as out of date, and you still hear about official updates.

We check M-Vave's official download page for the M-Vave SMK-37 PRO every day. One message per release. No spam, no newsletter.
It’s written by independent developers, not by M-Vave. Some projects are stable, others are early betas: read each developer’s notes before you flash.
Can I go back to the official firmware?
Yes: load the official 016 with M-UPGRADE, as described in the official update guide.
Why isn’t every SMK-37 PRO project listed?
We pick the ones worth trying: a build you can install and a real following, from GitHub stars and downloads or from the community. Forks that only rename a project or add a few presets stay out, and brand-new projects get a second look after their first week.
Does FW Radar track custom firmware versions?
We note the latest version each developer has published when we check the list, every day, but we don’t send alerts for it: alerts are only for official M-Vave firmware.
