Changes in S4 OS v2.2.0 June 3, 2026 Features MOSAIC: Device update — new granular engine. Buffer can be locked (no new audio written, SOS disabled, buffer saved in project). New RAND AMP parameter. New SPRAY modes WARP and WARP MONO. New SCAN parameter (STRETCH, POSITION, DELAY SYNC, DELAY FREE modes). FEEDBACK parameter replaces SOS (GRAIN OUTPUT and SOS modes). RAND PITCH replaces DETUNE (DETUNE, RANDOM, RANDOM MONO modes). New RAND REV parameter (probability of playing grain backwards). Config option MOSAIC RUNNING controls audio generation when not playing. Enhancements CONFIG: MODULATORS RUNNING now defaults to WHEN PLAYING. NEW PROJECT: Transport resets when creating project without external sync. DISC: Scale kept after end recording. DISC/TAPE: MONITOR setting saved in project and scene. DISC: Loads with quantized length in sync mode. Fixed length issues with unsynced library samples causing clicks. Bugfixes ADSR modulator triggered by track assigned MIDI channel. DISC/TAPE: Fixed sync loss when loading project while playing. MOSAIC: Fixed granular going out of sync after RAND RATE. MOSAIC: Fixed clipping when using SOS. Bug Fixes: DISC — fixed audible click when starting a recording; fixed short silence/glitch when stopping recording; fixed waveform display lag when loading samples from external USB drive; fixed sample name text overflow in GUI. TAPE — fixed clicks in recordings; fixed distortion on certain mono samples; loaded sample name is now displayed. DEFORM — fixed CRUSH not updating when changing Scenes. Enhancements: DISC — device is now reset after stopping a recording (parameters and modulation), keeping only TEMPO MODE (SYNC/STRETCH/FREE), XFADE and SOS, improving workflow continuity.
