How to update the Elektron Syntakt

Install the latest Elektron Transfer on your computer. Connect Syntakt via USB, open Transfer, select the device in the sidebar, drag the .syx OS file onto the drop zone. The device reboots automatically when the update completes.

Version 1.40A — 27 Apr 2026

Fixed: FX track FPAN parameter was not assigned a MIDI CC value and was excluded from randomization. Euclidean sequencer parameters (RO1, RO2, TRO) were not converting properly when upgrading from earlier OS versions. Transport setting had conversion problems for projects from previous OS versions. The FX track high-pass filter was behaving as a low-pass filter when the FX track was choked. LFO display showed SPH instead of SLEW when FX LFO was set to GLOBAL. Difficult to identify incompatible sounds during Sound locking. FX track could stop being triggered under certain conditions. FX track routing was not accessible from TRACK RELATIONS menu. Copy/paste between FX LFO pages failed when active in GLOBAL FX/MIX. Copy action in step recording would exit STEP RECORDING mode.
