How to update the Sequential Take 5 Desktop Module

Download the Take 5 OS zip from the Take 5 Operating System page and unzip it. Install a SysEx utility: SysEx Librarian on Mac or MIDI-OX on Windows. On the Take 5 press Global, set MIDI Syx On to On and MIDI Syx Cable to USB or MIDI, then press Global to exit. Close other MIDI/DAW software and connect the Take 5 Desktop Module to the computer with a USB cable or a MIDI interface. Send the OS .syx file: in SysEx Librarian choose the Take 5 or your interface as Destination, add the file and click Play; in MIDI-OX set the Low Level Output Buffers Num and Size to 1024, then Load File and Send SysEx. The download has a Main OS and a Panel OS: load the Main OS first and power cycle (the synth stops on the splash screen), then load the Panel OS and power cycle again when rst appears. Do not power off while the OS is being written. Then reset the Globals (Global > Reset Globals, Write) and calibrate the voices (Global > Cal Voices, Write).
