How to update the Sequential Prophet-12

Download the Prophet 12 OS zip from the Prophet 12 Operating System page and unzip it. Install a SysEx utility: SysEx Librarian on Mac or MIDI-OX on Windows. On the Prophet 12 press Global, set MIDI Sysex Enable to On and MIDI Sysex Cable to USB or MIDI, then press Global to exit. Close other MIDI/DAW software and connect the Prophet 12 to the computer with a USB cable or a MIDI interface. Send the OS .syx file: in SysEx Librarian choose the Prophet 12 or your interface as Destination, add the file and click Play; in MIDI-OX set the Low Level Output Buffers Num and Size to 1024, then Load File and Send SysEx. Do not power off while the OS is being written. When Writing Now! disappears, turn the Prophet 12 off and on; if the display goes dark during the update, wait: it restarts by itself. Check the installed version under Global.
