How to update the Vermona meloDICER

Download the meloDICER firmware package for Mac or Windows from the Vermona support page and unzip it. Take the module out of the rack: its USB socket sits on the circuit board at the top edge, not on the front. Connect it to the computer with a USB cable and connect the module's bus cable to a power supply that is still off. Hold TAP, switch the power on and release TAP: the module is now in bootloader mode (connect only one module at a time). On Windows, the first time, install the Atmel DFU driver from the package's driver folder when Windows asks for one (Have Disk). Run update_meloDICEr.command (Mac; Control-click > Open if macOS blocks it) or update_meloDICEr.bat (Windows) and wait for the console to report success. Power down, unplug USB, then hold the encoder and the LOCK button while powering up to reset all settings and sequences (required after the update), and release.
