How to update the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field
Update with the TE update utility (teenage.engineering/apps/update) in Chrome or Brave: allow web MIDI, connect OP-1 field via USB-C and power it on; the utility detects the unit, then press update and keep the tab open until it finishes. Or use TE boot: turn OP-1 field off, hold COM while switching power on, connect it via USB-C to a computer, press 1 so it mounts as a mass storage disk, copy the firmware file from the downloads page onto the disk, safely eject it, wait for the update to finish and follow the on-screen instructions.
