What's new in 1.1

- Powering the module on while pressing the right button enables (or disables) the color-blind mode. The LED patterns are more contrasted: - The polyphony selection button blinks once, twice, or four times to indicate the number of active voices. - The three resonator types are represented by three levels of brightness (normal, intense for the middle setting, and faint).

Add it to your rig to keep an inventory, track its used market price and get an alert if a new firmware ships.

How to update the Mutable Instruments Rings

Download the .wav firmware file from the firmware page. Unplug all CV inputs and outputs from the module and connect the output of your audio interface or sound card to the IN input. Set the FREQUENCY knob to 12 o'clock, then power on your modular system while holding the polyphony button: both LEDs blink orange. Mute other computer sounds, disconnect your speakers and play the firmware file into the module (turn the output gain up on non-studio equipment). The second LED shows the signal level (green or yellow is best); adjust the gain with the FREQUENCY knob. The module pauses now and then with both LEDs orange while it writes to memory, and restarts by itself at the end of the file. If the LEDs blink red, press the polyphony button and retry with a higher gain.
