Download the firmware file (.smf) from somasynths.com/cosmos_firmware/. Copy it to the root of a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive (1–32 GB; empty drive, one file only, no folders). Power off Cosmos. Insert the USB drive into the rear USB port. Hold the RECORD button while powering on — LED indicators above RECORD flash during the update. The device enters operating mode automatically when complete. Remove the USB drive.
