How to update the Oberheim TEO-5 42-Key 5-Voice Synthesizer

1. Download the TEO-5 OS zip from the Oberheim support page and unzip it (it contains the .syx file). 2. On the TEO-5 press Global, set "MIDI Syx On" to On and set "MIDI Syx Cable" to USB or MIDI (the connection you will use), then press Global again. 3. Close all other audio, MIDI and DAW software and connect the TEO-5 to the computer by USB or through a MIDI interface (computer MIDI out to TEO-5 MIDI in). 4. Send the .syx file with MIDI-OX (Windows: set Low Level Output Buffers Num and Size to 1024, choose the TEO-5 port, Load File, Send SysEx) or SysEx Librarian (Mac: choose TEO-5 as Destination, add the file, Play). 5. Do not power off while the display shows "Do Not Turn Off Power!". When it shows "rst", turn the TEO-5 off and on. 6. Press Global and run Reset Globals, then Cal Voices to calibrate the oscillators and filters.
