How to update the Conductive Labs NDLR

Select the correct firmware: The NDLR Rev2 (powder coated red base) uses 3.3.x; the original NDLR (Rev1, blue/grey base) uses 1.1.x. Check your version in the System 3 menu (press Menu, then rotate knob 8). 1. Install the Teensy Loader program (Windows teensy.exe or Mac teensy.dmg from PJRC); don't download any firmware from the PJRC site. 2. Download the firmware ZIP for your NDLR from the Conductive Labs downloads page and unzip the .hex file. 3. Connect The NDLR directly to the computer with a USB cable (the update may fail through a USB hub or dock). Run Teensy Loader, File > Open HEX File (or drag and drop the .hex), click the green Auto button so it is lit. 4. Briefly press the recessed FW button on the back of The NDLR (between the pairs of MIDI ports) with a pen or paper clip. It takes a second or two; The NDLR restarts once it is programmed. Black screen after updating: check that the firmware matches your base colour, or reset to factory defaults from the boot menu (hold Menu + Shift while powering on, press PAD).
