How to update the AlphaTheta Chordcat

Download the CHORDCAT firmware for Windows or Mac from the AlphaTheta Help Center (CHORDCAT > Firmware Update) and unzip it: on Windows you get ChordcatFirmwareUpdater.exe and a .upd file, on Mac a .dmg with the ChordcatUpdate app. Connect Chordcat to the computer with a USB cable. Hold the Play and Rec buttons while pressing the power button and keep holding them for about 3 seconds, until UPDATE appears on the display. Close other applications, run the updater, choose a language, check the version shown and click Start. Keep the USB cable connected (power a laptop from its AC adaptor) until the progress bar finishes and the unit shows Finished, click OK, then turn Chordcat off and on again and check the version on the display.
