Instrument definitions accept POLYAT/AFTR. MIDI monitor displays poly aftertouch. Sync In: CV Clock Rate now up to 96 ppqn; new Clock Timeout setting (falls back to internal clock, auto re-locks); new CV Follow Tempo setting. Compatibility: a project saved with 3.20 will not open in 3.10.
Download the Hapax firmware zip from squarp.net/hapax/downloads. Extract and copy the .bin file to the root of the Hapax microSD card. Insert the card, power on, and the device will detect the new firmware and prompt to update.

New features
- Expanded Step Drum: Tracks now support up to 16 drum rows (press up or down to scroll through the 2 pages). Instruments Definitions and Midi Drums Import/Export also support the 16 lanes of drums.
- Live Drum Layouts: Added three new pad layouts (8, 4 and 1-Velocity, in addition to 16-Velocity). Accessible via Settings > Misc > Live Drum Pads.
- New Effect - Spring: A versatile new slew limiter featuring a resonant/oscillating mode alongside a preshot feature.
- Global LFO - Flat Waveform: You can now set Global LFO A or B to a static "Flat" waveform (0% to 100%). Especially useful for creating custom macros routed through the modMatrix.
- Effect Filter - Velocity Range: Added Velocity Min and Velocity Max parameters, allowing you to selectively filter notes based on their velocity.
- Chance FX - Use Velocity: Added a new discoverable parameter where note velocity scales the chance percentage.
- Autom Mode - Ping Automation MIDI message for easier external MIDI Learn.
- Autom Mode - Rapid Event Creation: Holding an empty pad while rotating the Value encoder instantly creates a note on that step.
- Autom Mode - Row Values: Hold a row to configure its default value.
- Effect Automation Recording: Rotating an FX parameter encoder while recording creates and records events automation.
- Quick Effect Automation Lane Creation: Hold REC and press an FX encoder to generate an empty automation lane.
Bug fixes
- Step Mode: Fixed impossible note deletion when HOLD STEP CAPTURE was OFF.
- Autom Mode: CC events now reliably transmitted even with interpolation disabled.
- CV/Gate Outputs: Fixed Gate Retrig on adjacent non-overlapping notes.
- Arpoly effect: Fixed possible stuck notes.
- Hardware: Fixed OLED screens remaining permanently OFF on certain units.
