Firmware is updated via MIDI SysEx. Download the .syx file from sonicware.jp/pages/downloads. Send the .syx file to the Liven Bass & Beats using any MIDI SysEx utility (e.g. MIDI-OX on Windows, SysEx Librarian on Mac) while the unit is in firmware update mode.
