How to update the RME Digiface Dante

Download the RME Flash Update Tool for MADIface / ADI-2 / Digiface for your OS (fut_madiface_mac.zip or fut_madiface_win.zip, the package that lists the Digiface Dante) from rme-audio.de/downloads.html. With the RME driver installed, connect the Digiface Dante via USB and start the tool: it shows the current firmware revision and whether an update is needed. Click Update and wait until the progress bar finishes. Then reset the unit by powering it down (or shutting down the computer); a warm reboot is not enough. The tool only flashes the parts that changed (Flash All forces a full update). If the update fails, the unit keeps working from its backup BIOS; repeat the update on another computer.
