What's new in 2.4.2

## New Features - LOOPS mode: Workflow to capture and sync independent loops as if you are overdubbing - Layers can now run in SERIES (layer one feeding layer two) as well as in parallel - Voice stealing can now steal across layers - Patch bank improvements: NEW and CLEAR are merged, empty slots show "-" (and "*-" once edited) - SOLO buttons for each playhead and each sample - Samples now audition while you browse (toggle it from the preview panel; auditioning plays 6 dB down) - HOLD function is now available by tapping the sound visualization on any page, Previously-used play icon has been removed. - RELATIVE mode now covers every playhead parameter — level, start, tuning and speed can follow playhead 1 with an offset or be fully independent - as well as playhead modes, and has improved UI - Redesigned AUX strips: moved to avoid covering the primary parameters, enlarged where necessary to include all aux parameters - Pressing the VOLUME knob now opens the audio settings panel - Improved sample recording UI and added input threshold parameter for record triggering - New balanced input mode (BAL) for differential/balanced mono sources - The X-Y pad is now available as a modulation source (SYSTEM > XY) - QUANTIZE TUNING feature allows tuning adjustments and modulation to be quantized to the Layer's scale - Reverb improvements: Improved tuning, added BODY parameter, adjusted layer LEVEL and SEND behavior to achieve any wet/dry balance. - Added input-gain control (IN GN) to the ECHO units - LFO improvements including a new time delay parameter in NOTE mode - You can now turn off velocity sensitivity in Envelope 1 > AUX, and you can adjust sustain time for looping envelopes 2 and 3 - Maximum grain size increased to 5 seconds - The STOP boundary mode is now ZERO: the playhead goes silent at the boundary and resumes on re-entry, and in-flight grains play out instead of cutting off [...]

How to update the Oddment Audio ODD-1

1. Download the latest firmware package from the ODD-1 page on oddment-audio.com and unzip it. 2. Connect ODD-1 to your computer with a USB-C cable. 3. On ODD-1 go to SYSTEM > MISC and press USB DISK. ODD-1 shows the USB DISK MODE screen and is unresponsive until ejected. 4. Open the mounted drive ("Untitled" or "ODD-1") and drag the `firmware` folder (containing fw.bin) onto it. If prompted, overwrite the existing folder. 5. Eject the drive. ODD-1 asks whether to update: select YES (takes about 1 minute). 6. Let the process complete, then reboot when prompted. Aborting before the reboot leaves the current firmware in place.
