How to update the Line 6 Catalyst 100

Save any presets you want to keep with Catalyst Edit first: the update ends with a reset to the new default presets. Install the free Line 6 Central app for Mac or Windows from Line 6's software page. Connect the Catalyst to the computer by USB, power the amp on with the master volume all the way down and open Line 6 Central: it detects the amp and offers the latest firmware; follow the on-screen steps. When the update is complete, power the amp off, then hold the B and MANUAL channel buttons while switching it back on to reset it. If the update fails, power off, reopen the app and power the amp on while holding A and B (bootloader mode), select your Catalyst model and update again.
