How to update the Eventide H9000

Use this only if your H9000 has Gen1 DSP modules (Gen2 modules use a separate firmware line). Install the latest Emote (Mac/Windows) from Eventide and connect it to the H9000 over Ethernet or Wi-Fi with internet access. In Emote open the Devices View (9K button), click Updates in the H9000 Firmware window, select the latest version and click Install; keep Emote open and the unit powered until it asks you to restart the H9000, then restart Emote. Units on older firmware that do not see the update in Emote must first update from a USB drive in Recovery Mode: download the H9000 Gen1 Firmware USB Installer, copy the two unzipped files to the top level of a FAT32 USB drive, connect it, power on while holding CHECK and X (H9000R: paperclip in the pinhole next to NETWORK) and follow the on-screen instructions.

2.4.4 New Granular algorithms: Cosmic Web - High-end rack processing with a modern, macro granular package. Cosmic Web blends reverse pitched grains with classic Eventide reverb for deep delay and pad-like modulated space. GrainMod - Morph your sound in novel ways thanks to modulated grain parameters. Three independent LFOs target Trigger Rate, Grain Duration, and Filter for textures that evolve rather than repeat. Add Favorites: You can now mark any of your Sessions / FX Chains / Algorithms as a favorite from the front panel or Emote. Press and hold the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key to mark something as a Favorite. A heart icon will display to the right of the title. Press and hold the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key again to un-favorite something. Press the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key to display your favorited items.
