How to update the Yamaha Reface CP

Download the reface CP updater for Mac or Windows from Yamaha and unzip it. The update returns all settings to factory defaults. Switch the reface CP off, connect the AC adaptor and connect it to the computer with a USB cable. Hold the F#3, A3 and C#4 keys while switching it on: the [TYPE] knob's Rdl lamp lights up (update mode). Launch the reface updater app, set MIDI Port to "reface" and click Start; the [TYPE] lamps light up one after another. When all [TYPE] lamps light up, the update is complete: quit the updater and restart the reface CP. Keep the computer awake and do not use other applications during the update (about five minutes).
