How to update the Sequentix P3

1. Back up your banks and settings as a SysEx dump first (play mode page 7, Sysex & User Config). 2. Download the P3 OS file (.SYX or .MID format) from the Sequentix downloads page. 3. Units with an Atmel AT89C51ED2 CPU must install bootloader v3.3 first: follow the bootloader README on the same page. 4. Hold FUNC and PAGE while powering on the P3 to enter Firmware Upgrade Mode, then press F3 (flash). 5. Send the file to the P3 MIDI input with any SysEx or MIDI file player. .SYX files need a delay of about 100 ms between SysEx blocks; the .MID file already includes it. 6. When the transfer finishes, the display shows whether the upload succeeded and the new checksum. Press F1 (boot) to start normally.
