The manufacturer has stopped releasing firmware updates for this device.
You can still add it to your rig to keep an inventory and track its used market price.
The Scarlett 8i6 was produced in 3rd Gen only — no 4th Gen version exists. Firmware is applied via Focusrite Control (v3.x, not Control 2). Connect via USB, open Focusrite Control, and accept any update prompt. No new firmware updates are expected for this discontinued model.
