Common problems after updating
Scarlett Solo USB icon lights white and the computer does not recognize it
Make sure Focusrite Control 2 is installed on your computer, then try a different USB port and a different USB cable.
Focusrite Control 2 does not detect my Scarlett Solo
If you used the original Focusrite Control, uninstall it fully first. Then push the USB cable firmly into the USB-C port on the back of the interface until it clicks into place, because a slightly loose connection can stop the Scarlett being recognized or powered.
Scarlett Solo still appears as a USB drive (Mass Storage Device)
This is Easy Start mode. Install and open Focusrite Control 2 and click Update Scarlett Solo. After the update, the Scarlett no longer appears as a Mass Storage Device.
No sound through the Scarlett Solo after setup
Check that the Scarlett is your computer's default audio device. On Windows, right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar and make sure Scarlett is the Sound output. On a Mac, go to System Settings > Sound and set input and output to Scarlett Solo.
