What's new in r2761

Updates Saffire Pro40 firmware to either r2761 or r742 depending on hardware revision. Fixes no audio from second Pro40 sync slave on dual unit mode. Saffire Mix Control 3.9 is now a 64-bit application (macOS only). macOS 10.12 or later required.

You can still add it to your rig to keep an inventory and track its used market price.

How to update the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40

Download Saffire Mix Control 3.9 (macOS) or 3.7 (Windows) from the firmware page. Connect the Saffire Pro 40 via FireWire and launch Saffire Mix Control. The application will automatically update the firmware on connection.
