How to update the Zoom F3 Compact Field Recorder

Download the firmware ZIP from the F3 support page and extract it. Copy F3SYSTEM.BIN to a microSD card and insert the card into the F3. Install fresh batteries or connect an AC adapter (the update will not start with low battery). Turn the power on while pressing the ▶/❚❚ (play/pause) button: the FIRMWARE UPDATE screen appears. Select Execute and press ENTER. Do not turn the power off or remove the card during the update; turn the power off when it has finished.
