How to update the Yamaha CK88

Save your user data to a USB flash drive first: the update initializes all Live Set Sounds and the MENU and SETTINGS settings. Download the CK61/CK76/CK88 OS Updater zip from Yamaha and unzip it. Copy only the .PGM file to a USB flash drive of over 2 GB that was formatted on the CK, with no other files on it. Turn the CK off, connect the drive to the USB [TO DEVICE] terminal and power on while holding [SETTINGS] and VALUE [v] until the YAMAHA logo appears. On the Updater screen press [ENTER] to start and [ENTER] again to confirm. When 'Completed. Please turn off.' appears, turn the CK off, remove the drive and power it on again. Never switch off or remove the drive before that message.
