Firmware 1.0.2 for the Xaoc Devices Batumi II quad LFO adds a much requested feature, namely a zoom mode similar to the one implemented in the first iteration of this module. ZOOM MODE To enter the ZOOM mode, hold the MODE button for one second and release it - the MODE LED changes color to pink. This mode upscales the slider travel around the central value (set before you activate the zoom mode) to allow for precise adjustment. It works for channel A in all modes (as the channel A slider always adjusts frequency), and in the FREE mode on channels B, C, and D. To exit the ZOOM mode, press the MODE button again. The correction applied in the ZOOM mode is stored afted exiting the ZOOM mode until the slider is moved. Please remember that right after exiting the zoom mode the actual parameter value and slider position do not match. [...]

How to update the XAOC Devices Batumi II

Download the firmware zip from the Resources section of the Batumi II page and unzip it. Hold the MODE button (left) and connect the module's mini USB socket (left side of the PCB, behind the channel D slider) to the computer; no Eurorack power is needed. Batumi II appears as an external drive: copy the .bin file to its root folder, eject it and disconnect the USB cable. Connect the module to Eurorack power: the MODE LED turns green while it updates (about 10 seconds), then it is ready to use.
