New Features New "Dirt" type "Ring Mod" which adds ring modulation from Osc1 & Osc2 Pitch Details: Aside to pitch bend range you can now also put Osc 1 and/or Osc 2 to fixed pitch not reacting to notes. Showing firmware version at startup Recognizing MIDI Bank Select (LSB aka CC32) messages to choose from all 360 slots Bug Fixes and Improvements Link mode for "Detune" and others fixed. Simultaneous changing of parameters fixed. Glide mode in layers B, C & D only showing value from A Parameter Jumps Amp Attack Selecting via edit screen carries through the select encoder click eg changes filter mode Presets saved with non-Static Dirt types revert to Static upon reopening. MIDI note-off and pitch-bend messages leak between layers in MIDI split mode. Changing cutoff and resonance at same time - both don't register the changes

How to update the Waldorf Protein

Power off the Protein. Hold SHIFT while powering on to enter bootloader mode — the device mounts as a USB drive. Log into your myWaldorf account at waldorfmusic.com, download the firmware .UF2 file, and copy it to the USB drive. Eject and power cycle to complete the update.
