What's new in 1.2.1

To improve the workflow for synchronising Project changes between two Circuits, Project changes will now send the Program Change message for a Queued Switch for the current Project rather than the one for an Instant Change message for the current project. Instant switches are still available by holding the Shift button when changing Projects. For more information on this change and its effect on working with two Circuits please our help centre article here.

How to update the Novation Circuit Tracks

Connect Circuit Tracks to your computer via USB and open Novation Components (components.novationmusic.com) in Chrome, Edge or Opera, or use the standalone Components app. Components shows whether the firmware is up to date; click Update firmware and press Play on Circuit Tracks when prompted. The unit restarts when the update is done. If the update fails, turn Circuit Tracks off, hold Scales, Preset and Note while powering it on (Bootloader mode) and click Update again.

This update increases Circuit Tracks' sample time capacity from 60 seconds per pack to 196.6 seconds per pack. Further to this, the synth engine has been optimised to reduce voice stealing in certain synth patches. Finally, we have added Sticky Shift. This function allows you to change Shift's behaviour from momentary to toggle. To enable Sticky Shift, enter Setup View and press Shift. Sticky Shift will be enabled when the Shift button is lit bright green. With Sticky Shift enabled, when Shift is pressed it will act as if it is held until it is pressed a second time.
