Download the latest firmware from moogmusic.com/downloads (select Firmware Update, filter by Messenger). Power on Messenger using the original 12V DC power supply. Connect to your computer via USB-C. Run the installer (.dmg on Mac, .exe on Windows) and follow the on-screen instructions. Disconnect Messenger when finished.

2025-11-26
Messenger Firmware version 1.0.13 is now available, which is a required update to enable use of the Preset Editor. This firmware update adds expressive new features such as Duophonic Mode which expands Messenger's melodic possibilities by letting you play two notes at once paraphonically. The modulation wheel is also now assignable as a modulation source for increased creative possibilities.
