What's new in 2.0.1

Version 2.0.1 is a minor firmware update to Mother-32. It restores the following legacy behavior that was found in firmware v1.0, but not in v2.0: • Applying a clock or a series of triggers to the RUN/STOP input will advance the Sequencer one step per trigger, providing a quick form of basic Clock Sync. NOTE: This does not impact the normal behavior of the RUN/STOP input; a regular gate signal will start and stop the sequecer as expected.

How to update the Moog Mother-32

Connect the Mother-32 to your computer with a USB-to-MIDI cable or a MIDI interface (5-pin DIN; avoid USB hubs). Download the firmware ZIP from the Moog downloads page and extract it. In a SysEx application (SysEx Librarian on Mac, Bome SendSX on Windows), send the ERASE file once: the Tempo LED flashes green/red (boot-loader mode). Send the ERASE file a second time: two slow red blinks, then the Tempo LED flashes green. Then send the main firmware .syx file. When the Tempo LED flashes green 2-3 times and the unit runs its boot-up light show, the update is complete.
