Copy the firmware .img file to the root of the SD card. Power on while holding the encoder button — the display will show 'LXR Bootloader'. The unit validates the checksum and installs automatically. Do not power off during installation. Reboot when prompted to complete. Back up SD card contents beforehand as projects may be affected.
* Compatibility with Octatrack when sequenced with MIDI
* Per-setp parameters displayed now when step is held down and can be changed. Max 2 unique parameters can be saved - if more are changed the oldest per-step param is overwritten
* Kit morph - when changing the kit, the morph-kit is kept the same. However, is morph set to 255, the morph-kit still slightly changes when swapping to a different kit, but way more manageable
* Delay when routed to an R channel does not crackle anymore
* Fixed MIDI clock going out of sync over time
* Fixed LXR starting sequencer randomly when synced via MIDI
* Added selection between MIDI (MID) or analog clock (EXT) in BPM parameter. MIDI and analog clock no longer work simultaneously
* When BPM selected as MID or EXT, encoder needs to be rotated more for changes to happen. This is to avoid accidental inputs when playing
- fixed: SEQ LEDs not initialized after tmp pattern load/boot
- fixed: missing feedback for NRPN parameter changes
- fixed: prog change above 116 crash LXR
- fixed: MIDI channel handling for CC messages (use voice channel as well)
- fixed: loading and saving of invalid tmp pattern (pat 65 bug)
- fixed: fixed small bug in snare drum transient being limited to noise channel when using OSC mix.
- new feature: Autosave feature implemented
Kit and pattern changes are automatically saved 2 seconds after no further changes are made and stay persistent during reboot. When user selects save kit/pattern, files are saved to tmp folder on the SD card, persistent after reboot and manual pattern change. When user saves the project, tmp folder is cleared and changes written to project. When user reloads project, all temporary changes are discarded.
- fixed: Clipping in OUT 2 mixer routine
- fixed: Delay only uses one channel as input
- fixed: Screensaver errors
- feature: Main OSC coarse tuning changed to +/- value, corresponds with seq value now (coarse 0 = set sequencer note, -12 = one octave below, +12 one octave above)
- fixed: Shuffle setting not saving (when changing patterns after saving pattern)
- fixed: Interface errors when selecting FX types. encoder does not leave FX Mode detail menu anymore
- fixed: Voice stuck in manual trigger when simultaneously muting any voice.
- fixed: MIDI CC only working on master channel 1 (works now on all master channels)
- fixed: USB MIDI not transmitting to host
- fixed: possible freeze when using song mode with END marker after restarting the song.
- fixed: seq_songPositionPointer not reset @ song end
- fixed: song mode list skips entries when the same pattern is in consecutive slots
- fixed: MIDI program changes after 8 don't work
- fixed: possible freeze when setting BPM to EXT while seq is running
- fixed: analogue clock out out of sync when slaved to MIDI clock
- new feature: Microtiming. Steps can be shifted forward and backward in a 1/8th step raster. (Step parameter page)
- new feature: Flam. Steps can be re-triggered multiple times (x2, x3, x4, x6, x8) on a single sequencer step. (Step parameter page)
- new feature: Synth parameter editing in performance mode (voices can now be manually triggered while editing sound)
- new FX added: ping pong delay
- improved MIDI live recording. Notes that are played after 50% of the current step have elapsed are recorded to the next step now. Fixes notes recorded to the wrong step when played a tiny bit too early
- more clock out ppq options (2,4,8,16,24,48 ppq)
- fixed: analogue clock input 24ppq prescaler
- fixed: Shuffle working with ext. MIDI and analogue clock sync
- fixed: clock out working with ext. MIDI + clock sync
- fixed: MIDI notes also recorded on voice channels now (worked only on master channel before)
- fixed: LFO sync calculation when external sync is used
- fixed: shuffle changes not saved when pattern saved to another slot
- fixed: possible crash when engaging external sync
