How to update the Bradshaw Instruments Drumkid

Install the Arduino IDE and connect Drumkid's Arduino Nano to your computer with a USB mini-B cable. Unplug all MIDI cables and set the switch on the underside of the PCB to "Arduino". In the Arduino IDE choose Tools > Board "Arduino Nano", Processor "ATmega328P" (or "ATmega328P (Old Bootloader)" if the upload fails) and the right Port. Download the Drumkid GitHub repository as a ZIP file (Code > Download ZIP), unzip it, open arduino/<latest version>/drumkid/drumkid.ino and click Upload. Set the switch back to "MIDI" when done. Updating from firmware 1.0 may change the time signature, tempo and drop settings of saved beats.
