How to update the Behringer Neutron

Download the Neutron Firmware Updater (Mac or Windows) from the Neutron product page and unzip it. On Windows, install the STM USB driver once before the first update. Connect the Neutron to the computer by USB (no hub) with nothing plugged into MIDI IN, and leave it switched off. Run the updater, then hold the recessed BOOT button on the back panel with a paperclip while powering the Neutron on, and release it: only the Square Wave LEDs of both oscillators should light. When the updater detects the Neutron, click Update and do not power off until it reports the update is complete. Power-cycle the Neutron to finish.

Fixes and improvements introduced since version 2.0.0 • Fix to one shot LFO mode: The saw & square waveforms previously stopped at high; they now stop at 0 V • Sustain pedal fix: Releasing the sustain pedal now stops all notes, including those that still have a key held • Note priority has been restored for paraphonic mode, and it also separates note priority settings for mono & paraphonic (they are now recalled correctly when swapping between mono & paraphonic) • MIDI note-on messages with a velocity of zero now stop the appropriate playing note, no longer resulting in stuck notes Note: The newly implemented features are detailed in the latest version of the Neutron User Manual. This can be found here.
