Akai MPC 500 firmware
How to update the Akai MPC 500
Copy the OS .zip file to the root of a CompactFlash (CF) card. Insert the CF card into the MPC 500. Power on while holding the SHIFT button to enter update mode. Press REC when prompted to begin the update. Do not power off during the update. After completion, perform a factory re-initialization: power off, then power on while holding the Erase button.
