New Features and Improvements Max for Live - Updated Max 9.1.5 to 3db35fa: - MIDI: improved recovery from bad bytes - Parameters: fixed param visibility getting stuck after saving in Live Bugfixes Push Bugfixes - Fixed a crash that could occur when trying to delete a MIDI mapping from Push. - Fixed an issue with icons in lists, such as the list of effect types in the FX Type parameter in Drum Sampler, where icons would disappear after touching the encoder. - Fixed a crash that occurred when attempting to show a notification about selecting the playing clip using the up or down arrow button.

New Features and Improvements Push 2 and 3 - It is now possible to toggle the context menu options "Enable Per-Note Pitch Bend" and "Pitch > Env" for Drum Sampler directly from Push. Push 3 - Two new parameters have been added to the Preferences tab of the Setup menu: Play Modifier and Recording. When Play Modifier is set to Off, the Play button triggers playback on press and no longer acts as a modifier for Follow Actions. When Recording is set to Selected Track, pressing Record starts recording only on the selected track rather than on all armed tracks. Bugfixes Push 3 - Updated the Push 3 firmware package from 1.5.0 to 1.5.4. This update includes the following changes: - On macOS Tahoe, fixed an issue with audio clock source setting when Push is in Control Mode. - Improved the audio streams’ resilience to short-term electromagnetic interferences. - Switching between volume options with the Volume encoder now takes effect on pressing instead of releasing the encoder. - It is now more likely for units to run when powered with a 15W USB-C power source, depending on the cable and host power quality. - Fixed an issue with LEDs slightly flashing while booting. Push 3 Standalone Mode Only - Fixed an issue where an unrelated error message was shown if the track limit for Live Intro was reached on Push 3 Standalone. Now, an error message related to the exact issue is displayed. - The Latency control for Link Audio can now be adjusted in increments of +/-10 ms via the encoder in the Status tab. This makes it easier to set higher latency values. Push Bugfixes - Fixed an issue where the display color for the Delete Map button was not updated to indicate the button could be used to delete a newly added MIDI mapping. - Fixed an issue where it was not possible to adjust the Global Groove amount in fine increments by holding Shift if the Setup menu was open. MIDI Mapping It is now possible to create custom MIDI mappings for parameters that support automation as well as transport controls directly on Push. To add custom mappings, open the MIDI tab in the Setup menu, then press the leftmost upper display button. This will switch from the Settings page to the Mapping page. Then, press the Add Mapping upper display button to enter MIDI Mapping mode. On Push, touch an encoder or press a button for the parameter you want to map, then on your MIDI controller interact with the control you want to map the parameter to. Finally, press the Save button to save the assignment and exit MIDI Mapping mode. Certain buttons can be pressed multiple times to access different mappings, such as the Play button, the Volume and Tempo encoders, and the Scene Launch buttons. A visual indication is shown on the display for controls that have more than one possible mapping target. You can also map the following parameters that do not support automation: - Device activation, through using the Mute and device activator buttons simultaneously. - The loop position, loop length, and start offset for MIDI and audio clips. - Loop on/off for MIDI clips. - The Gain and Pitch controls for audio clips. - Track selection. - Device selection. - Track muting and soloing. The Mapping page shows all existing mappings along with the associated MIDI CC numbers and minimum and maximum values. Use the Delete Map upper display button to remove a selected mapping. As a part of this feature, the Control Surface menu from Live's MIDI Settings is now accessible on Push as well. Push automatically recognizes a wide range of MIDI controllers and the Control Surface menu allows you to choose which control scripts are recognized automatically. You can also set the takeover mode directly from Push. Use the new Control Scripts page in the MIDI menu to enable or disable control surfaces and configure their MIDI inputs and outputs. New Features and Improvements Push 2 and 3: - Holding the Layout button now opens a menu on the display for selecting one of the available layouts. - It is now possible to use the Macro Variations layout in Slicing Mode with Instrument Racks that include macro variations. - The piano roll in Clip View is now automatically unfolded when using the 16 Pitches, Macro Variations, XYZ Control, or Rhythm Generator layouts. Push 3: - Changing the browser icons in Live now also updates them on Push’s display in Control Mode. - When opening a browser context menu on Push, the browser item’s icon is now displayed next to the context menu’s heading. - Added a new "Change Icon" context menu option for certain browser items, which can be used to set the icon used by Live and Push.
