How to update the Roland System-1m Plug-Out Synthesizer Module

The update erases the patch memory, so back up first: hold [LFO KEY TRIG] and switch on, connect USB and copy the PRM files from the BACKUP folder of the SYSTEM-1M drive. Download and unzip the system program. Hold FILTER [LPF TYPE] and switch on the power, then connect the SYSTEM-1m to your computer by USB. Copy SYSTEM1M_UPD.BIN to the SYSTEM-1M drive (do not rename it or copy the folder), eject the drive and disconnect the USB cable. Press OSC 2 [RING] to start the update; when the buttons flash, switch off. Then run a factory reset (hold MEMORY [WRITE] and press [LFO KEY TRIG], twice) and restore your patches by copying them to the RESTORE folder in the same backup mode.
