How to update the Roland RD-2000 EX

Download and unzip the update file. Copy RD2000EX_UPA.BIN to the root of a USB memory device (must be formatted on the RD-2000 EX first). With the unit powered off, connect the USB memory to the USB MEMORY jack (not another USB port). Hold down [WRITE] and switch on the power; release the button when "start update." appears. Wait for the message "<<< Please POWER OFF >>>" (about 5 minutes) before powering off or removing the USB memory. Switch off the unit and detach the USB memory.
