How to update the Korg Kaoss Pad KPV

1. Download the KAOSS PAD V System Updater from Korg and unzip it. 2. Copy the file KPV_System.kpf to the root of an SD/SDHC card formatted on the KPV (at least 2 MB free). You can use the computer's card reader, or connect the KPV via USB and use its SD card reader function. 3. Insert the card in the KPV and power it on with the AC adapter. 4. Hold [SHIFT] and press [PROGRAM MEMORY 7]. Turn [PROGRAM/BPM] to "vEr" and press it: the current version is shown. 5. Press the lit [TAP/RANGE] button, turn [PROGRAM/BPM] to "SyUP" and press it ("no" appears; if not, format the card on the KPV and start again). 6. Turn [PROGRAM/BPM] to "yES" and press it. "UPd" and a progress indicator appear. Do not power off or remove the card. 7. When "donE" appears the KPV restarts. Check the version again with [SHIFT] + [PROGRAM MEMORY 7] > "vEr".
