Kermit MKIII firmware updates require a Microchip PICkit 3 programmer (part PG164130). Download the latest firmware and detailed upgrade instructions from the product page at industrialmusicelectronics.com. Connect the PICkit 3 to the ICSP header pins inside the module and flash using MPLAB IPE software.
