What's new in 4.0

v4.0 (stable, August 2018): Stock shipping firmware. v4.2 (beta, 2018-09-10): Fixed gate triggering on wrong notes when MIDI notes share same channel. Fixed MTC (MIDI Time Code) and SPP (Song Position Pointer) message skipping issues. Beta reported stable; users encouraged to report issues.

How to update the Hexinverter Électronique Mutant Brain

Hold button while powering on to enter update mode (top 2 LEDs light solidly). Send .syx file via MIDI with ~100ms buffer delays. Upload takes 1-2 minutes; alternating rapid LED blinks signal completion. Power cycle after update, then re-load SysEx patch. Note: Erica Synths reissue uses different hardware and firmware — not compatible.
