How to update the Ferrofish Pulse16 MX

1. Download PulseUpdate for Windows or Mac from the Ferrofish downloads page. The same updater covers all Pulse16 models (Pulse16, MX, DX). 2. Install the driver of your USB-MIDI interface. Ferrofish recommends a quality interface with its own driver: cheap class-compliant interfaces can make the update fail. 3. Connect the Pulse16 MX to the computer through the USB-MIDI interface and wait until the computer has recognized the interface. 4. Start PulseUpdate, select the Pulse16 as MIDI Input and MIDI Output (both highlighted in blue), press Connect and start the update. 5. Do not disconnect the device or interrupt the process while the progress is shown. The main firmware can only be updated via MIDI.
