Firmware is updated using the X-Touch Editor application (Windows only). Download the Editor app from the product downloads page, decompress the zip file, and follow the included ReadMe instructions. Do NOT use SysEx — the Compact uses the Editor app. Firmware version is displayed briefly on startup.
