Firmware updates for the MPD218 are delivered as SysEx files via the MPD218 Editor software. Register the product at your Akai account (akaipro.com) to access firmware downloads. To update: open MPD218 Editor, go to View > SysEx, open the firmware file, and click Send SysEx File. Device is class-compliant and requires no drivers.
