How to update the Rode RodeCaster Pro II

Update directly on the unit: connect the RØDECaster Pro II to the internet over Wi-Fi or Ethernet (Settings > System > Network); when new firmware is available a prompt appears in the settings menu, or go to Settings > System > Information and tap Check for Update. Alternatively, connect the RØDECaster Pro II to a computer and open the RØDECaster App (Mac or Windows): when an update is available the app prompts you, click Update. Your settings are kept after the update.

Version 1.7.3 — 11 Mar 2026

Added RØDECaster Sync, allowing audio mixer and SMART pad control of RØDECaster Video CORE devices. Separated the RØDECaster PRO II / DUO Wireless audio channels into their own type (allowing concurrent usage with XLR channels) Updated the USB multitrack output to follow the mixer channel arrangement on the RØDECaster (allowing CALLME and WIRELESS channels to be output). A new ASIO and Virtual Device driver is available which is compatible. Updated the RØDECaster DUO to include two extra virtual faders, allowing a 9 stereo channel audio mixer to be used. Addressed a number of other miscellaneous bugs and stability issues.
