What's new in 1.1 (03.02.20)

Version 1.1 introduces a subtle yet impactful lift in the low-frequency range. Specifically, it gives a slight boost around the port tuning and baffle step, resulting in improved depth, clarity and precision for critical listening environments. Gain structure : Firmware 1.1 includes updated gain structures not reflected in the existing SPL switch values on the rear panel. - There are new values for the SPL output switch - The selected SPL value will now be achieved when the digital level reaches -20 dBFS, compared to -6 dB in firmware 1.0. The gain structure in firmware 1.1 aligns with that of the Core 5 and Core Sub Compact models, facilitating seamless integration between Core and Core Compact systems, particularly in immersive audio setups.

How to update the Dynaudio Core 59

Download the Dynaudio Update Tool and firmware from dynaudio.com/core-tool. Connect the Core 59 to your computer via USB, open the Update Tool, select the correct COM port, locate the firmware HEX file, and press Update. Do not disconnect power or interrupt the process — the front LED will turn off briefly; wait for the speaker to restart automatically.
