What's new in 1.2.0

Leviasynth firmware v1.2 is now available, bringing a new way to evolve your sequences through the Sequencer Entropy Deviation feature. Also included in this update is improved Desktop pad response, as well as a substantial collection of workflow, MIDI, arpeggiator, sequencer, and performance fixes. Sequencer Entropy Deviation adds a new way to introduce controlled variation into your sequences. Each step can influence how far the sequencer may deviate from its programmed value, allowing patterns to evolve while preserving their original musical direction. Firmware v1.2.0 also includes improvements and fixes across several important areas, including: • More reliable Sequencer recording, playback, track recall, random playback, and Local settings • Improved ARP and Chord mode behavior, including velocity, aftertouch, external MIDI, DAW operation, and stuck-note fixes • Corrections to Pitch Bend, MPE Y control, NRPN behavior, Step Offset, and ARP Gate values • Restored microtonal scale importing • Improved Multi mode tuning, naming, patch loading, and startup behavior • Smoothed response when adjusting reverb pre-delay • Improved pad response on the Leviasynth Desktop

How to update the ASM Leviasynth Desktop

Back up your patches with ASM Manager first. Download the Leviasynth Desktop Firmware Pack from the Software / Firmware tab of the ASM downloads page and unzip it. Connect the Leviasynth to your computer via USB and power it on while holding ARP ON and ARP LATCH; wait until the ASM logo settles in the display. In ASM Manager click Update Device, then Select DAT File, choose the firmware file from the pack and click Start Update. Do not interrupt the update. When it finishes, click OK, quit ASM Manager and reboot the Leviasynth. Press SYSTEM, open System Services and check the OS version, then press Factory Reset there (patches are kept).
