Connect the A-49 to a computer via USB. Download the system update zip from Roland support. Enter update mode by holding TRANSPOSE and OCTAVE+ simultaneously while connecting USB. Run the UpdSMF application and select the extracted folder. Takes approximately 2 minutes. Do not power off during the update.
