Update via audio bootloader. Power on the module and wait for the startup sequence. Before the LEDs finish turning off, patch a cable from X-Gate to YMOD. Lights will flash to confirm firmware erase. Remove the cable, then connect a computer audio output to the module's audio input and play the firmware audio file at full volume (disable auto volume adjustment in iTunes/music player if used). The module alternates lit channel buttons during update. Update takes 4-5 minutes. Module reboots when complete. Check firmware version on the GBL page.
